First things first…fastest response and delivery I’ve come across on Amazon. So, kudos to the seller for that. And onto the review now. I settled with Irusu Monster after researching a dozen other VR headsets. This,I felt, was the best bargain in this price range, given its features and the fact that you get a Bluetooth clicker with it, which is super convenient. About the clicker, I saw that many buyers had problems regarding connection. I faced similar problems too and it took me sometime to figure it out, but it works. The instruction pamphlet given wasn’t very helpful, so I went on to YouTube and found a video which helped a lot. I know it sounds noobish, but it solved the problem. Moving forward, the VR headset looks good and is compatible with my phone, which has a 5.99 inch screen. Regarding compatibility, the buyers need to do some research themselves so that there are no unwarranted complaints later on. Just a hint, your phone needs to have a gyroscope sensor present to be able to fully utilise the headset. For those who are buying a VR headset for the first time, it’s advisable to download Google cardboard from playstore. That is a great way to begin your VR experience as it will provide you with the necessary tools you’ll need henceforth. Coming back to the Monster, the headset is heavy and you’ll feel its weight after sometime. The build quality appears good enough until you examine the plastics which feel slightly on the cheaper side. The cushioning is top notch though, so that balances it out a bit. The lenses are adjustable and are wide enough, meaning you get a completely satisfactory virtual reality experience. However, the build quality leaves something to be desired here as the lens compartment is susceptible to dust and particle infiltration. You can wipe the smudges on the lens exterior with the piece of clothe provided, but you can’t do anything about the dirt that gets inside. The gap provided for the nasal bridge must have been designed for someone with a giant pecker in mind because there’s space for another nose after I wear it. I have a regular sized pecker. So, what happens is that the headset will provide a complete vr experience until you look down and the gaping space becomes apparent. But I’m an optimist and I’ll say that the gap enables you to be aware of your surroundings while you immerse yourself in the world of VR. It has prevented me from falling over a couple of times😉. A note of caution for my ocularly challenged brothers and sisters who want to enter this world. If you have weak eyesight and wear prescription glasses, you should know that you can’t wear your glasses when you use your VR headset. Or you can if you really try, but it’ll most probably cause damage somewhere. And if you proceed to view movies and try out other VR experiences, just keep eyedrops and a painkiller by your side for later because you are going to need it. I guess that isn’t a reflection on Irusu, but rather on the whole virtual reality experience which still needs a lot of development. I would have given it 3 and a half stars, but there’s no such option. The plastics and the build quality need to improve to garner better ratings. Otherwise, this is a good…
