My requirements for a cordless landline phone were the most basic and this phone fulfills them to a T. The phone is easy to set up and since panasonic has been churning out cordless phones since before the internet, they have paid attention to the small details which makes installing this phone a pleasure. The option of wall mounting the phone is useful, but unfortunately I found that it sitting on a table top looked better than wall mounting. This phone has only one connection to a hardline i.e. only one line. The power socket and the inlet are at the bottom of the base with clearly distinct wire holding channels, which ensure that the wires are protected. The base is quite basic, with just a single locator button and a plastic body. However the finish is good and the metallic sheen paint ensures it does not look plastic-ky(sic?). The handset is ergonomic and fits comfortably in my hand and ear during calls. The inclusion of a rear speakerphone ensures I can hear calls over background music. Still discovering the features and functions of the handset, but the most used feature by me right now is the alarm function. Scheduling calls has been made so much more convenient. The phone offers a phonebook option limited to 50 names (Out of which I am using around 10 and don’t see myself running for extra space). The standby time for the phone I found to be quite impressive after a full charge. I believe i am a moderate user, with a talktime of around 2-4 hr per day, the battery needs to be charged once every 8-9 days.
