UPDATE: after over 2 years of use, I can say that this is perfect for most small, home-sewing needs as well as for beginners looking to learn sewing, but not if you are a professional, or even an adventurous hobbyist. The biggest con I can find so far is that it is not suitable for sewing thicker than average fabric like thick cotton or denim, or delicate fabrics like satin, because the pressure foot cannot be controlled. Aside from that, it’s great, and I haven’t had to change any of the factory settings so far while working on cotton, rayon and some polyester mix fabrics. Works perfectly for mending jobs with common cotton or polyester clothes. I have also been able to use this to sew decorative edges on paper journal softcovers and pages without any…
